Sally holds a Bachelor of Laws from Curtin University and Bachelor of Environmental Science from the University of Western Australia.

Having gained extensive experience as a scientist and law graduate at a global mining group, and as an environmental consultant for multi-national consultancies, Sally worked for a leading national Australian law firm before joining MPH’s corporate/commercial team.

Sally has held numerous client-facing, project-focused roles in mining, oil and gas, electricity, and construction sectors and understands the importance of discerning a client’s needs and identifying key legal issues to solve and to produce effective, results-driven advice.

Her diverse range of experience in environmental, native title/ Aboriginal heritage, administrative, mining, construction and planning law is an asset to the firm. She is adept at providing front-end legal advice on complex environmental issues and negotiating and drafting agreements. Sally has also been involved in numerous due diligence risk assessments for public and private M&A transactions.

She is currently the National Environmental Law Association’s WA President and is across the ever-evolving regulatory and compliance issues and the increasing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) obligations and opportunities that industry must address in the face of climate change.
