Dan Butler is a commercial and corporate law specialist with a focus on restructuring and insolvency and commercial disputes, with over 14 years’ experience as a lawyer in the WA market.
Dan has experience assisting clients on many complex legal and commercial issues including: advising on counterparty contractual risk; advising and acting for creditors and debtors in respect of restructuring options such as informal workouts and forbearance arrangements, deeds of company arrangement and personal insolvency agreements; providing advice to and acting for creditors and debtors in relation to the enforcement and priority of security interests under the Personal Property Securities Act and general recovery of debts; advising directors in respect of their duties, options and potential claims arising in respect of insolvent trading; assisting receivers, administrators, liquidators and bankruptcy trustees, in relation to their appointment duties and obligations; undertaking public examinations, unfair preference claims and other recovery actions; acting for commercial clients concerning mining tenement, partnership and ACL disputes.
